We’re proud to announce that Frontier Helicopters is now officially a BARS (Basic Aviation Risk Standard) registered aircraft operator. This internationally recognised achievement marks a major milestone for our team and reinforces our commitment to operating safely and professionally in remote and high-risk environments.

What is BARS?

The Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) is an internationally recognised, risk-based safety program developed by the Flight Safety Foundation. It’s designed for aviation operations in remote or high-risk environments, particularly those outside regular airline routes, such as firefighting, mining, and infrastructure support.

Through the program, our systems, training, and operations were independently audited and confirmed to meet strict global safety standards.

Why It Matters

Clients operating in challenging environments demand the highest safety standards. BARS registration demonstrates our alignment with best-practice benchmarks, providing reduced risk, greater transparency, and confidence in complex, high-demand settings.

Raising the Bar in Remote Operations

With bases across the Northwest of Australia we support a wide range of aerial services, from fire management and aerial surveying to logistics and remote access operations.

BARS registration was a natural progression for our business. It formalises the safety culture and high standards we’ve maintained for years. We’re especially proud of how our entire team pulled together to meet the rigorous audit process, demonstrating not only our capability, but our shared commitment to continuous improvement. As a BARS-registered aircraft operator, we’re now eligible to support a broader range of clients and projects, including those where BARS compliance is a requirement.
